Welcome to my first effort on the web. I am trying to build up a collection of colour shots of Spain in the 1960s and would much appreciate any offers of slides to be used on this site. At the moment the idea is to have 2 galleries, one of RENFE and one of the Narrow Gauge. I am starting with the N.G.
This is the result of digitising my Spanish slides from 3 trips in the 1960s - the first 2 (1960 and 1964) were mainly visiting narrow gauge lines with a bit of RENFE shed bashing. The third was almost entirely RENFE linesiding and blessed with consistently bad weather.
The details of the first two trips would not have been forthcoming but for Jim Ballantyne's notes which many years later he transcribed and sent me a copy. Thanks Jim!
My third trip was with the late Mike Fox who also provided the car for our 1960 trip and some of the photos can be recognised from his book "The Last Steam Locomotives of Spain and Portugal"
